About Dr. Walden

Board Certified Gynecologist, currently serving as Medical Director practices Integrative and Functional Medicine to help patients find practical solutions to many of the health challenges that women and men face as they age.

Dr. Walden combines integrative therapies, such as customized nutrition and fitness regimens, pharmaceutical-grade supplementation, stress reduction techniques and natural bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) to help her patients live the best life they can possibly live. Dr. Walden treats her patients using personalized wellness programs that pinpoint and address the specific needs of each patient on an individual basis.

Dr. Walden received dual undergraduate degrees from The University of Richmond and Virginia Commonwealth University in 1994 and 1996 respectively and completed her Medical Degree at the Medical College of Virginia, where she also completed her Internship in 2001 and later her Ob/Gyn Residency in 2004. Dr. Walden has provided care in Ob/Gyn for over 10-years in North Dallas and has served as Vice-Chair of the Ob/Gyn Department at Baylor Medical Center at Carrollton.  Additionally, she has served on the Ethics, Credentials and Best Care Committees, Quality and Performance Improvement Board and the Peer Review and Medical Team-Patient Experience committees at the same medical center.

Dr. Walden has always had an interest in wellness and complementary therapies. In 2008, she was first introduced to Integrative and Functional Medicine and Bioidentical Hormone Therapy. Following this time, she began to have a growing discontent with the focus of traditional medical therapies on symptom treatment and the lack of their ability to bring about wellness and wholeness in her patients. She desired to help her patients by changing her focus to identifying and treating the root cause of illness and not simply cover symptoms.

Additionally, she found it more and more challenging to provide the additional counseling and care that patients needed within the time confines of the traditional medical model. Seeking a revitalization in her own life and in her medical practice, Dr. Walden retired from Obstetrics and transitioned her private practice to include Integrative and Functional Medicine where she is now able to get to the root of her patient's ailments and focus more on helping patients improve longevity, regain youthful energy, achieve balance and provide avenues for true disease prevention.

Prior to transitioning her practice, Dr. Walden began to recognize the physical manifestations of aging and stress in her own life and began implementing the very changes that she can't help but to encourage and inspire her own patients to make on a daily basis.  In accord with the proverb "Physician, heal thyself" her mantra has always been "I never ask my patients to do anything I haven't done myself."

Dr. Walden regularly watches her eating habits, participates in physical activity or exercise programs, and routinely engages in stress reduction activities such as Vibroacoustic Therapy and Prayer. She is grateful to have experienced firsthand how incorporating quality customized nutrient supplementation, lifestyle modification, stress reduction and achieving hormonal balance has dramatically improved her own quality of life and that of her family.  Dr. Walden is excited to share with others how they to can experience this type of advanced care.
